Wet Wallet Woes? We’ll Tell You How to Fix It! (Part 1)
A wallet is both an everyday necessity for most people and a prized possession for the discerning eye. This means that, just like your phone, you probably can’t get through your day without it, and if it had a water-related accident, you would probably not take it too well.
For people like us who have been in the business of wallets, it’s just another day at the office when a panic-stricken customer asks what they can do to rescue a wallet that’s taken a dip in the wrong water – which is any water. At worst, your precious wallet can degenerate into a wrinkled mess.
Since, we’re a little too dedicated to what we do, we went ahead and drowned an unfortunate wallet, and then looked at everything we could do to keep it looking like none of that ever happened.
Before we get all hands-on with this, we need to remember that the kind of leather that’s gone into making your wallet is perhaps the most important variable in this equation. If it was among the cheaper varieties, you might sadly be pursuing a lost cause and the wallet has already given up on you. Needless to say, we took a pretty good quality wallet for a swim in our test – told you, we’re dedicated. The good news, though is that a wallet like ours, made of the finest full-grain stuff, is called all that precisely because it’s made from strong and tight-grained hide and thus, has natural water-resistance. So if that sounds like the wallet you bought, you’re in luck.
